Diabetes take home message
Diabetic foot complications are a costly and complicated aspect of the condition. It takes team work and timing at all stages of care to identify and treat individual patient needs which can then lead to good patient outcomes. Early referral (as soon as the patient presents) to a specialist team has been proven to improve outcomes and Bristol are improving the patient pathway to make this easier.
Early referral is the key.

Outcome of AGM
Paul, Jasmine, Claire and Katy stood again for the same positions on the committee and were voted in unanimously by all attendees.
We advised we are always happy to welcome new members to the committee and are actively looking for somebody to help with what we have planned for social media improvements as requested by members.
Updated on changes within the COP and on spending of branch funds over the last financial year and plans for the coming year.
